OIiver's memory bench...

Located in a small picturesque park, near our home in Ashford.

Forever laughing at the trees...

With a huge thankyou to Cllr. Jim Wedgbury who approached us with the idea of funding a bench in Oliver's name. The bench was installed by Ashford Borough Council in the green space off the Kingsnorth roundabout.

The bench gives us both a space to go to, and reflect or talk to Oliver on days where we need to get out of the house. We have drove past several times now and always glance in from the main road and several times we have seen people sitting on his bench and that fills us with pure heartwarming joy.

The plaque on the bench includes 'forever laughing at the trees' as Oliver took a strong liking to trees and would laugh his little socks off at the branches and leaves swaying in the wind. The way the bench has been installed, it gives a perfect overview of the entire park, plus he's got his trees!

Once again, a massive thankyou to Cllr. Jim Wedgbury and all at Ashford Borough Council who made this possible.
